Worship
AT Grace Church, we worship according to a liturgy, which means that our services follow a set order of written prayers, rituals, and actions that is structured by the Book of Common Prayer. You’ll find people kneeling and standing and bowing and making the Sign of the Cross. You’ll see our clergy dressed in elaborate vestments and the altar draped in colorful hangings. Incense fills the Nave on high feast days. Our worship services are a sensory experience for the whole person: body, mind, and soul. Some may find the way that we worship to seem a little strange at first – or at least a bit disorienting. But that’s because the liturgy invites us into something truly immersive: we enter into mystery, transcendence, and the beauty of holiness.
